This is some mighty snack mix -- almonds, soynuts, three types of dried fruit, and (of course) a little chocolate to give you long-lasting energy and keep you full! It's the perfect snack for a mid-afternoon slump. Take it with you for a hike, a long bike ride, or a marathon-length work day! Just stick to the 1/2 serving (or go with 1/3 cup for a 200 calorie snack), because it's nutrition- and calorie-dense stuff.
Very quick and filling lunch! High in protein and fiber so you stay full a long time. Goes well with miso soup.
2 c. fresh mango chopped
1 c. coconut milk
1 c. water
4 tbl. organic sugar
blend all together in a popsicle mold until frozen.
Makes six popsicles.
cream together in mixer 2 C. Sugar, 1 C. shortening. ADD 6 ripe mashed bananas, 4 well-beaten eggs. SIFT 3 TIMES: 2 1/2 C. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. baking soda. blend ingredients + don't overmix. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. pour dough into both pans evenly. bake 45 - 50 minutes at 350 degrees. add chopped nuts as desired.
