This soup is a great way to use leftover radish tops from the farmers market or your garden.
The original Rachel Ray recipe included simmering 2 ancho chiles (stemmed and seeded) in the broth for about 10 minutes - then putting in food processor. My family isn't much for heat - so I left this out and added crushed red pepper to mine.
NOTE: Coffee may make this a little bitter (esp with unsweetened cocoa). Next time I will use 1 Tablespoon instead of two.
My friend hates all things healthy, dubbing them "hippy", thus this gets it's name. Turkey can be omitted, but adds a great deal of flavor so I don't recommend it. SOOO much good-for-you stuff in here, and tastes awesome!
This was actually a modification to a recipe I got in a WW meeting. It;s a 1 point per cup soup that is very comforting during the fall. It tastes like a lot of the soups you get in mexican chains, yet you control the ingredients.
This recipe is a great way to use up leftovers from SP's Sticky Chicken recipe, and it packs a low-fat, high-fiber, high-protein punch!
I didn't have a blender, so I had to hand mash my soup, turned out great!
