This recipe was adapted from one my grandmother used to make with leftover meat scraps. Today, it's one of my vegetarian sister's favorite recipes.
I used to use the frozen green giant steam bags that are seasoned and they are packed with major sodium. I decided to start making this instead as a lower sodium alternative. The lemon juice really gives great flavor.
