A very refreshing summer salad
My grandmother made this for every holiday. We still make it at our house and the kids, grandkids love it. It can be a dessert or a fresh summer salad. Great for luncheons with tea and summer biscuits.
I've been making this fruit salad for about 11 years now. My daughter loves it. It is her one true guilty pleasure, at 275 calories for a cup, it's understandable why. You could probably use another kind of whipping cream, and I have, but the results were not as good.
Delicious individual Christmas treats
This Thai lettuce wraps recipe is quick and easy to make. Lettuce wraps are also a fun dish to eat, either as an appetizer or main course. Serve the filling on a platter with whole lettuce leaves on the side, and let your friends and family wrap their own. They’ll love the combination of crisp, cold lettuce with the warm, flavorful filling. This easy lettuce wrap recipes makes a low-calorie, low-fat treat that’s also very nutritious. Lettuce wraps make a great party food too!

Adapted from my Grandmother's recipe. Most of the family prefers it over canned.
Yummy fruit salad with cayenne peppered honey walnuts
I make a batch of this every week and eat it on my oatmeal for breakfast and sometimes as a “dessert with a dollop of non-fat Greek yogurt on top. The recipe makes approx. 9 cups; each cup of fruit salad is about 60 calories. (You can use frozen whole strawberries—but there’s nothing like the taste of fresh if you can get them!)
This is great for dessert or breakfast
