German type of pancake, serve with favorite sandwich items or Nutella. Great for Brunch or Dessert!
The Ultimate Comfort food from my childhood. Easy on the stomache and guaranteed to entice an appetite when down and out with a cold or the ‘flu.
Serve with brown sugar. Add a splash of milk in the bowl if a thinner serving is desired.
(My family called this “Klunke Müs”...which I’ve never learned if there is an actual translation for.)
For only 248 calories and 9 grams of fat you can enjoy this comfort food again and again.
I'll admit this is approximate since when I made this it was about half the amount. I didn't want to be eating this for the next 5-6 days. Even the number of servings is approximate.
P.S. I'd love to substitute a low sodium turkey kielbasa so if you know of a good brand please drop me a line. It might be in my local grocery store.
This base works well for fruit cakes, European style. Similar to an angel cake or Victoria sponge cake I think. I topped it with fresh strawberries and agar-agar but any fruit would work well. You might even put a thin layer of custard or vegan pudding onto the cake base and then top it with the fruit. Extra yummy and the fruit juice won't soak the base.
Sweet and Sour. This is a very pleasing taste for hot summer days. Even better when refrigerated.
Yummy muffins consisting mostly of blueberrys. other berrys like raspberry also tastes good.
