So I went to the Mile High Flea Market and got some Good Stuff. My favorite find was definitely the roasted green chilies. They smell awesome, and certify that any recipe using them will create a meal that is muy authentico and muy sabroso! And hella cheap at the flea market. I got a huge heavy bag for $5. The bag would probably make me 3 or 4 batches of green chili (about 5 or 6 cups per batch). If you are able to, it is such a better chili if you can get your hands on roasted chilies. Otherwise, whole canned will suffice, but lack the roasted flavor.
This recipe was taken & slightly modified from "Bakin' Without Eggs" by Rosemarie Emro I use since I have a child with an egg allergy but they're extremely good and would be great for a vegan diet. Her recipe called for 1/2 c. chopped nuts, but I don't like them so my calorie counter does not include them.
not a very sweet cake. if you eat a lot of sweet things, you'll probably find this bland and lacking flavor.
Yummy spread using sprouted lentils... this is a rawfoods recipe and it also is great if you sprouted too many lentils like I did!
I made some Pakoras today, but saved half the batter to try and bake it instead of frying it. It worked! They may not be quite as crisp, but they're still SO delicious!
