Yummy in the morning as a quick breakfast or when you get those chocolate cravings. Also great warmed in the microwave for a hot chocolate treat!
My kids love this soup. We serve it with shredded cheese, sour cream, fresh cilantro, and tortilla chips.
This can be served as soup or with the addition of rice, sausage, or chicken. Try replacing the cumin for curry or using all white beans for a more butternut flavor.

I used lower sodium tomatoes and lentils to decrease the sodium as much as possible.
Cold tuna salad, or storm food. I grew up eating this a lot when the power would go out during a winter storm. We could make this and put the bowl in the snowbank to stay cold.
I made this soup because I was sick and needed something hot. I also remembered reading where cabbage soup is very filling. Because my daughters need to eat what I eat, I don't have time to make separate meals, and I knew that they would not go for just a cabbage soup I added chicken just to see how well it would go over with them. My daughters are very picky eaters and don't like a lot of different foods, however, they loved this soup and have told me that the next time I make it, why not try it without the chicken.
A good friend gave me this and it is great! Good nutrition in it also!

"This mushroom soup is really simple, and makes a thick, creamy textured soup. Water can be added after cooking to make a thinner soup, or try adding cream if you like. I make this in a wok but you can use a stock pot, whichever you have available. Serve hot with toast."
