My adaptation of a traditional Moroccan recipe. The main substitutions are stevia powder for honey and freeze-dried apricot pieces for raisins. I find the Garlic/Ginger paste at Asian markets. If you don't have it, substitute 3 cloves minced garlic and 1 Tablespoon minced fresh ginger root.
I was after the baked ricotta but realized I had some lean sirloin that was oven roasted the night before that could be tasty on top of an already delicious side item. Why not bake it all up in to one?
Love this! Make it almost once a week. I ended up using a cup of frozen corn kernels I had and it turned out well. Use any extra veggies you like. I also make the biscuits a little smaller than fourths, just tear with my hands.
The original recipe serves 8, but we love it so much we get about 6 servings out of it instead. Oops!
A great and easy alternative if you're tired of the same old dinners.
I used all the "light" or fat free kinds of ingredients I could and it's not the best for a good diet but, for a nice change on occation this is a very tastey dish that my whole family loves. I hope yours will, too!
Very quick, very simple, and very delicious! I chose the HyTop brand of Teriyaki sauce because it had the lowest amount of sodium of the choices available at the grocer.
Donair Meat... It's not low fat, even using lean beef. This is a treat that should be eaten rarely, but it's sooooo good.
I made this tonight and served it with a half cup of Jasmine rice. It was very tasty.
These are AMAZING! I used maple sausage because I like them sweet. It gave a total of 4 net carbs per scotch egg. If you use hot sausages you can basically cut that in half.
Fine dining without the health or financial guilt. I put this together to satisfy the steakhouse craving, delivering all the flavor without the excessive fat. I know everything is in grams, they are easiest to work with in the kitchen if you have a scale, and make baking far more consistent.
Savory, Thick Chili with a Mild Kick. Only 6 net carbs / serving with 8g Fiber! Organic, Black Soybeans make all the difference.
