A friend of mine made this and needed to add much more butter to get the chocolate to a dipping consistency. I think she might of done something wrong.
Just take it slow and easy :) And you will do just fine!!
These are, as Rachel Ray would say, YUM-O!!
A great frozen treat! When completely thawed can be used for strawberry shortcake.
This is an adaptation of a recipe I found on another site. I haven't actually made this version, but the original one was delicious! I've substituted Splenda for sugar, unsweetened applesauce for oil, Egg Beaters for an egg, whole wheat flour for white flour, and 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips for the original full cup of regular chocolate chips.
These are good with honey or jam or put berries and whipped cream over them. If you make them less sweet (cut sugar by half), they're good as a biscuit dipped in soups or stews.
My mom got this recipe from a co worker that had been with weight watchers for 20 some years. We just love this pie!
Dark chocolate and sweet sugar free caramel make this snack low fat and decadent.
This is a modified WW recipe. It is the perfect recipe for a cold treat.
Preheat oven, 325 degrees. Mix all ingredients until smooth. Pour into oil sprayed loaf pan. Cook 65 minutes. Cool on rack, release from pan to serving platter, cool to desired temperature, and slice and eat. Or, freeze to eat at a later date.
This is tasty! Not super sweet, but sweet enough to make me happy. The crumble on top is very loose and dry, but it tastes great. Adding a little water to make it clump more might be an idea to play with.
*** Important note: This is not 100% Lactose Free. The lactose comes from the whey powder, which is 98% Lactose Free according to the manufacturer. A 100% whey protein isolate powder would be more than 99% Lactose Free. ***
I was trying to figure out how to get a big serving of protein in the lowest possible calories. A fitness website (not SP) had a suggestion of pure protein powder + water, but that just sounded horrid, so I tried this instead. Hemp milk is very creamy; I combined it with water to lower the calories. Delicious and satisfying. Mix really well and use good quality (all or mostly isolate) whey protein powder.
These beautiful muffins are super healthy, but they're a consistent favorite! Combining all the classics - carrot cake, zucchini bread, and banana muffins! Add in any nuts you'd like, or cranberries to make them even healthier. I like to add some chocolate chips... ;)
Refreshing summer dessert that I have converted most of the ingredients to lowcal or low fat. A real winner at family gatherings. Never any left over!
My family was in the mood for something from the oven lastnight so I checked the pantry and this is what I came up with! My Husband and Son loved it so I thought I would share it with fellow sparkpeople...I hope you enjoy :)
