Based on a recipe for Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage. I use bowties instead. I prefer to use broccoli instead of broccoli rabe in this recipe, use 1 pound broccoli cut into 1-inch florets and increase the cooking time by several minutes. If you prefer a less spicy dish, use sweet Italian sausage and it can be made leaner with turkey sausage
If you' re not a fan of goat cheese, try the recipe with Boursin or low-fat cream cheese. You can also add a grating of Parmesan cheese before serving, if desired.

Really need to add lots of spices to make it good, but is very low in cals and very filling!
I have had many compliments on this sauce. Not only is it easy to customize to individual taste, It is a quick dinner to prepare for a large group, and freezes well. I always have some on hand for unexpected guests.
