Cabbage And Lentil Soup Recipes

This is a very nutritional soup, delicious on a cold winter day. Low fat, low cal, low carb, and rich in potassium and fiber. Serve with a whole wheat dinner roll or 9-grain bread.

Hearty low cal - high fibre

I wanted a lentil and cabbage mix with beef added in without compromising taste and nutrition. I bought steak intended for stir frys and used that as my meat b/c there was not a speck of fat to be seen on it. Large amounts of garlic are necessary for the authentic taste but other users are welcome to experiment. My olive oil was also infused already with rosemary which added another great flavor component to this soup. I let this cook all day but you can cook as little as one hour. Enjoy!

Very filling and satisfying when you need a little extra

Wanted to try some of the soups on here but didn't have all the right ingredients. So improvised what I had. Tasted ok but next time will use celery and other vegetables. Also I think less water and more chicken broth or some chicken bulllon at least.

This soup is easy with a stew-like texture reminding me of Polish Goblaki. The Tomato and Cabbage take on Lentil Soup is delicious.
