Oh no, another fried okra recipe! Yes, but this one is different. It uses crushed cashew nuts (which if you can't buy locally, can be substituted) and toasted wheat germ and sesame seeds for added fiber. My boys all love it and it's eaten up every time I make it.

A variation from a King Arthur Flour site, these are nutty, crunchy and chewy all at the same time, with a double hit of rich sweetness from dark honey and chocolate.
These are the same as the recipe posted before, my kids love these and they bake them themselves. But I use Kraft 25 % less fat peanut butter and occassionally I will smuggle in some flax seed or some choc chips, ar a tablespoon of instant multigrain oatmeal for a difference. But I have done the basic recipe here and you can do your own "add ons"

Delicious, very basic hummus - kids LOVE this! Great for dipping with veggies (our favorites are carrot sticks and bell pepper strips) or pita chips. This is a base recipe, so it's great alone or you can vary the spices or add other flavors; I've done garlic and roasted red peppers. I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!
