Don't let the name fool you...no chocolate here. A yummy low carb breakfast that is easy to make and store for a quick on the go breakfast.
Adaption from Bon Appetit, Dec 2002 "Chicken and White Bean Chili"; this recipe uses ground turkey and canned beans, reduces the chili powder and cumin by 1/2 and eliminates the hot pepper sauce.
I absolutely adore this stuff and was thrilled when I found the recipe. It is called dressing, but we use it as a dip as well. This makes 6 .25 cup servings, so if you go by tablespoon it is actually quite healthy.
This salad is one I created when I started a low-carb diet a year ago. You can cut down the carbs by lowering the amound of onions and peppers you use, or by eliminating the sour cream and amping up the salsa.
Anyway, I always crave fajitas, and this salad gives all the flavor without the calories or carbs you get in a tortilla.
Now that I'm not really counting carbs anymore I still love this salad because the flavor is so good, and it really doesn't take too much time to make. It's easy to double or triple when I have my husband or kids around, too, because it all cooks in the same skillet... and you can customize the amounts of cheese, salsa, etc., to each person's taste right in their bowl.
Easy to make, fully customizable, fairly small mess... sounds good to me.
This is a fun and easy recipe that the whole family will enjoy. Fix a nice green salad and some crusty bread to go along with it.... You can really do this one as healthy as you want.
The best way to make this soup is to use a store bought rotisserie chicken and strip the skin and bones out. Also, make sure to top with your favorite combination of sour cream, tortilla chips, avacado, cheese, lime, salsa and hot sauce.
This is very easy to tweak and great for doubling or tripling for larger groups.
A tasty treat for everyone. Can be served alone, over rice or in a tortilla as a fajita!
A fresh mix of veggies, shrimp, & imitation crab with a citrus zing. Served as an appetizer with tortillas chips or tostada shells or as a light lunch.
An easy to make, flavorful meal with tangy chicken and zesty sides.
