These cookies are a variation on Happy Vegan Chocolate Chip cookies in VegWeb.com. I used whole hazelnuts in hopes that it would slow me down a bit when I'm eating these.
Graham Kerr came up with this one years ago and I learned how to do it from watching his low fat/low cal cooking show. It is really great and you can mix it with preserves for a yummy spread.
Makes 2- 9x5 loaves. Crunchy topping : 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cp flour, 1 tbsp butter, and 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 cup chopped walnuts.Mix and crumble on top of batter before baking. Yummy buts adds unnecessary calories.
