This is called Cheater Chili at our house because it is so easy. Everyone always raves about it though.
I add the garlic and onion to taste. You can add 2 lbs. ground beef or ground turkey to this recipe. If you rinse the beans before adding, you reduce sodium and gas production.

Great smoothie for breakfast or a snack. Each serving of smoothie gives you about 4 servings of fruit. Great substitute for the smoothies you can get at fast food places that are filled with sugar and fat. I buy the fruit in the summer when it's less expensive, cube it, and freeze it to have during the winter months. Make sure to thaw the fruit, at least most of the way, before blending or it can clog the blender.

Since the garlic isn't really cooked, the mushrooms, which work as an appetizer or side, have a strong garlic flavor. Grill the mushrooms stem sides down first, so that when they're turned they'll be in the right position to be filled. If you want to plan ahead, remove the gills and stems from the mushrooms and combine the filling, then cover and chill until ready to grill.

My husband ate something similar on a trip to Munich. He searched the internet until he found a recipe that sounded like what he ate. After a few tries and a few alterations, this is what we came up with. Not a low fat meal, but hearty and satifying. Served with mashed potatoes it is a real winner. To accomdate the high fat, just plan out your meals for that day to give balance.
