"I have tried many chili recipes, trying to find one that suits our family's taste. This is it! I found this in my 1970 Southern Living cookbook. My family doesn't like spicey chili, so I only add 2 teaspoons of chili powder. I have noted my other changes in the ingredients. I leave out the shortening to cut the fat and we aren't big on a lot of celery in our food, so I cut it down to one stalk. This is the only chili that I make now. Prep time is approximate. Servings are generous, so you may be able to serve more than six with this recipe. I freeze leftovers."

This is my remake of my favorite cookie recipe. I wouldn't go so far as to call them HEALTHY, but there is certainly less guilt involved! This recipe makes a TON of cookies. I usually use my cookie scoop to make dough balls, freeze them and then just bake a few at a time to put fresh baked cookies in my kids lunches each morning.
This is a sugar-free alternative for anyone that needs to get in extra protein and hates those horrible protein bars that taste like sweet dirt. These aren't your standard, super-moist, chewy cookies, but they satisfy the need to crunch and give you a nice punch of protein.
For those of you that are great cooks, pls feel free to play with this and make suggestions.
