Thanksgiving Recipes (Most Popular)
My family loves to make this during Thanksgiving, and it buys some time if dinner is taking a little longer than expected. We use a 15 ounce wheel - I could only find a calorie count for 3 smaller ones - but the calories will be very close either way.
My family loves to have these out at dessert time during Thanksgiving and Christmas. These can be made without the bourbon and by substituting vanilla extract, but they're better with very good bourbon. You'll also need a little extra confectioner's sugar for rolling the balls.
These are packed with complex carbs and healthy fats.
These moist, wholesome muffins are loaded with vitamin A. For extra flavor, try adding chocolate chips or raisins.

Delicious! Top with fresh fruit - strawberries, bananas, blueberries, & maple syrup for a special treat!
A family favorite (made slightly healthier with better soup - I wasn't an overachiever to use the cream of mushroom recipe from this site, maybe next time...)
These sweet potatoes are made creamy with a little bit of reduced fat sour cream and the spices give it some depth of flavor!
A great way to dress up baked sweet potatoes for a holiday dinner. The sweetness of maple syrup compliments the spice from jalapenos and tabasco. Top sweet potatoes with Bacon Bits and scallions, too, for added flavor.
When we think of potatoes au gratin, we think of the sinfully gooey, creamy, cheesey, comforting dish, right? Well, this one keeps all of those things but ups the nutrition ante with anti-oxidant and fiber-loaded sweet and blue potatoes. I've also replaced the cream with a thickened milk bechemel, and kept just a smidgen of the cheese.
I love pumpkin and cheescake; with the holidays just around the corner and so many people I know on a diet; I was searching for something that will fill the cravings and still be ok to eat. The original recipe called for more cream cheese, butter and whole eggs. I wanted a little less calories and fat so I adapted it and came up with this very light weight yet tasty desert. I hope you enjoy.
Enjoy this guilt- and gluten-free version of pumpkin pie. If you are craving a pie "crust," try spreading the pudding on graham crackers. This is also great stirred into a bowl of warm oatmeal.
Cabbage Rolls based on Mom's recipe (cabbage, ground beef and maybe some ground pork {optional}, rice, salt & pepper, sauerkraut, slow cooked in tomato juice).
