This is a great dish with lots of veggies! Of course you could also use a frozen broccoli, califlower, and carrot mix to change it up a bit!
this is a great vegetarian entree, with plenty of flavor, protein from the qunioa, and today i used fresh sage from my garden! i used brown mushrooms, but feel free to experiment with different types...
This was from a similar recipe here, I just revised it to what I had on hand.
This is a recipe I found on yumsugar.com, and after making the original recipe and finding that it was way too easy to eat more than one slice in a sitting, I did some substitutions the next time. I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose, applesauce instead of oil, and 2.5 cups of sugar instead of 3. The result is something similar to the texture of a bran muffin and 234 calories and 5 grams of fat a slice (whereas the original recipe yields a slice that is 340 calories and 15 grams of fat and is much less filling).
This casserole is so sweet that it could be thrown in a pie crust and served as a dessert! My mother-in-law made this for Thanksgiving and I demand that she had to give me the recipe.
This creamy, sweet, and delicious dish is packed with Vitamin A and low in fat and cholesterol!
Great for Thanksgiving.
Magical steaming dumplings, that can use up leftover turkey or chicken (I've left it vegetarian as that's how I most often make it)
Turn your Thanksgiving turkey leftovers into a delicious new healthy dish. Serve with a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
Something I came up with this afternoon as I was filling an order for my bakery (see http://bumblebeebakery.wetpaint.com or my blog for more). Smelled divine!
This recipe uses Almond Flour for a biscuit topping so that even those of us who are grain-free can enjoy this classic comfort food.
This is my grandmother's recipe with a twist for a more earthy taste!
Cracklin' Cornbread is one of my family's Thanksgiving tradition.
Cracklings are pork skin that is fried until the fat is rendered off leaving tiny crispy pieces of skin.
You can substitute it with fried bacon. But beware! High Calories!
