Low-cal, low-fat and great with Italian pasta dishes and garlic chicken pizza

Creamy vegan Alfredo pasta sauce using this almond and cashew based cream substitute. Adapted from the MimicCreme website, original recipe credited to Tracy Thompson. I had to add cornstarch for thickening and nutritional yeast for protein, and a smidge of paprika (I used smoked) and magnifico!

This recipe is suitable for Atkins or other low carb diets. The addition of chicken broth and white wine make this a little different from the typical alfredo sauce. It's just delicious!

Heres a quick and easy Alfredo Sauce to serve over pasta or as a base for white pizza. Chances are that you have all the ingredients in your kitchen.

Inspired by Hungry Girl's Fettuccine Alfredo Sauce, this is creamy and oh-so-good. It tastes sinful and just like the real thing - with a fraction of the calories. Try it on pasta, couscous, shredded zucchini "noodles" or chicken breast.

I learned this recipe while living in Italy. It is so divine, you will stop going out for alfredo dishes to cook for everyone you know. It's even low enough in calories to fit into a meal without blowing it. I could not find an alfredo recipe that I could successfully make for 5 tries. Even this is recipe that I couldn't mess up. Sometimes I wish I never got to turn out right. Ha

This recipe makes 1 serving.. multiply as you need. It's so easy to make, you'll be finished faster than a trip to Fazoli's would take.

Who says you can't have a cheesy cream sauce on Raw. Excellent over kelp noodles or spiralized zucchini noodles.

The Alfredo sauce is NOT included in the calorie calculation, I add it separably (see my other recipe).

This is a delicious low cal version of a high fat, high calorie classic. My kids love it and don't know they are eating veggies. It also give you a very generous portion of sauce (4.5 oz/serving)

This recipe is just for the sauce used in the display picture. Everyone in my house loved it even the ones who weren't fond of cauliflower, since you can't even taste it! The texture is a bit gritty, I would compare it to the texture of parmesan cheese from the shaker. It is excellent on any pasta and keeps well in the fridge for leftovers. I light alternative to the cream laden counterpart.

This magical sauce is delicious over pasta and completely dairy free. It's not really Alfredo sauce but you wouldn't believe how creamy and amazing it is without any cream!
