I got this recipie from TLC's "How Stuff Works" website. Very tasty and filling. If you don't like spice, you can leave out the red pepper flakes and you can reduce the sodium by using low sodium teriyaki sauce
Not extremely healthy, but extremely delicious! Sometimes I like to eat without counting calories :)
Big Batch to Freeze in individual servings for quick and easy lunches or suppers. just slip into the micro wave
This tuna salad is full of fiber, protien and some small diced vegtables. It is a great substitute for the humdrum regular tuna salad
Came up with this combination to use up some homegrown banana peppers. As I wanted something Mexican served the salad in lightly toasted flour tortillas topped with salsa
A basic and yummy salad. Mix up the veg and the lean protien sources for a filling meal
Laura's Base Salad. From here I mix it up from day to day; tuna with chopped sweet pickle and mustard for dressing; black beans, corn, and salsa for a southwestern touch, etc.
I just made this on the spot and it was delicious. Really fast and warm and filling. I didn't use a cooking spray on the pan, the bacon provided enough oil/greasiness for frying. If you use a different protein source you might want to grease the pan to prevent burning.
It's quick, delicious, and very nutritious, with three different colors of vegetable, and a significant amount of your required daily protein.
Hot & Spicy!! For those that use the Pepper Scale...3.5 peppers!! Great for parties IMHO!
