My sister in law can't eat foods with dairy in them and came up with this delicious low cal creamy soup
This is great for a weekend brunch or a "breakfast for supper" day. They can be frozen and warmed in a toaster or microwave too, but are really best fresh.
They can be served with syrup (real, sugar free, etc.) but I like them with a little applesauce or strawberries on top. Peanut butter is good on them too.
Basic, easy bread... with a little extra fiber for your day. Wonderful when served warm.
I pureed steamed zuchinni and "hid" it in this recipe. Hubby and the kids love this recipe and they have no clue that zuchinni is in there. You can also add puree carrots ( I would cut the sugar to 2 tbsp if you decide to add carrots)

I found this recipe too salty for my taste, so I would cut down on the salt a bit. Also, if you are using OXO of a liquid chick broth, you may not want to add any salt at all.

a nice mix of flavors... very fast to make! This is a VERY filling dish for two servings. I usually get more like three out of it... two dinners and leftovers for my lunch the next day.
My kids' favorite cold weather dinner. They get a full serving of veggies without even knowing it.
*Hint: be careful of the amount of salt you add into this soup, the hot dogs can make this soup too salty, depending on the type and brand of hot dogs you use.
