Make the Burritos - wrap in plastic wrap and freeze! Enjoy for lunch! Does re-heat a bit mooshy. But yummy with salsa over top, eaten with a fork and knife!
Adapted from CL - used real chorizo sausage instead of veggie, updated the heat, and used all dry spices.
strange name, strange portions - i updated to use a full can of tomato sauce, added a jalapeno, more garlic, chicken broth vs veggie, and use salsa verde. Was just ok, till i treated it like shakshuka and added a couple fried eggs on top!
I wanted to try substituting lentils for ground beef in my usual chili recipe.
You can also use the Old El Paso Soft Taco Bake kit but I didn't want to buy it processed, I used the Taco Seasoning recipe from allrecipes and just used regular marble cheddar and tex mex cheddar instead of the fake cheese sauce.
I'm sure it would also be good with whole wheat tortillas and you could also substitute for ground turkey.
Fast and easy to make salsa, sure to please the most sophisticated palet while staying healthy.
Enjoy this with tortilla chips, tostadas, in a wrap, in a salad... Make the night before for lunch the next day for maximum flavor!
