This is a delicious sweet chili that will amaze even the best cooks. It is simple to make and freezes nicely in small containers for a quick meal. Great with tacos, turkey burgers or over rice! Only about 185 calories per serving
This very tasty dish was created by husband who made it with chorizo. The chorizo adds several 100 calories. Since I do not eat meat (but will eat seafood), I added the textured soy protein instead. We also topped it with the Avocado- Cilantro Sauce which consists of Avocado, Sour cream, cilantro, and lime juice processed in a food processor until smooth. The Avocado Cilantro Sauce is not calcluated in these calories... also served with a side of Black Beans and Chipotle Slaw!
This is a spicy low fat dish that goes great with potatoes or rice. Makes plenty of servings to eat a meal now and freeze some for later.
If no orzo pasta on hand simply replace iwth instant rice and reduce final simmer time to 1-2 minutes.
Perfect and easy if you don't have taco shells or wanna try a healthier alternative. You can use any type of milk- for lower calories use fat-free.
You don't really need salt.
