Grissini are easy to flavor: Add 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary to the dough. Or add freshly cracked black pepper, thyme, caraway or other spices or herbs. Or sprinkle the grissini with sea salt or other specialty salt just before baking.
I found this at kraftfoods.com but left out the nuts because my grandmother is allergic. This is a very tasty way to sneak in some fruit!
This recipe was originally posted on Real Simple's site. I adapted it for a lower-fat lifestyle by using lower fat cheeses. You can also have it as a main dish and add either lean ground beef or extra lean white meat ground turkey.
This is my variation on a recipe in Kevin Mills' cookbook "Faster! I'm Starving!" It only takes about 20 minutes total to prepare and it's super yummy. The cauliflower is tender, but still firm -- not mushy like it gets when you boil or steam it. If you want to change the spice mix, just be sure you use other warm spices.
This delicious blend of maple syrup, sugar and cinnamon add a warm, homey taste to plain mashed sweet potatoes!
I found a very similar recipe on Spark Recipes, submitted by MECG007. I thought it a great idea but the ingredient list didn't seem to match the recipe so I created this one. The first seemed light on calories and potassium. I am watching potassium levels closely so I made sure I used ingredients from the list that had an entry for potassium. I hope MECG007 doesn't mind. I also used maple syrup and more spice, This recipe also makes more but can be easily adjusted.
This is basically pancake mix in a muffin tin, with a bite of a sausage link cooked inside. We REALLY liked these. ( I saw the commercial for that Pancake Puff pan, and got the idea from that. Why spend $20 when you can throw it into a muffin tin!)
