This is one of the simpliest recipes I have, that to a degree is a healthy.
Mix all dry ingredients together, then add the egg and the milk. Mix well. Heat a medium skillet and spray with cooking spray. Add batter ( usually i add the blueberries at that point)and cook until light brown, turn over and cook it trough. Serve with sugar free preserves.
Eggs on a Corn Tortilla Smothered with Green Chile & Cheese & a side of Beans
Raw alternative to banana bread! Great served as cookies or as a spread for apples! [this recipe is not mine - it is modified from goneraw.com but I wanted the nutrition info]
No sugar or fat added crunchy cereal! For a different flavor and more crunch, use some buckwheat groats (instructions in recipe).
Perfection in my opinion! The applesauce reduces the need for as much fat. This is the best granola because of the way it's roasted. I really like it with coconut too. The dried organic coconut is so small that even my picky eaters don't know it's there.
Can't face another cold cereal? Eat something hearty, hot and crunchy for breakfast: Migas. It is a quick dish that quite tasty!
By mixing in just a little of these three healthy ingredients, you boost the nutrition of a normal serving of oatmeal. Plus, it's delicious!
This is a bare bones recipe that can be tweaked a bunch of yummy ways. I like mine with low fat chive cottage cheese and spicy salsa :-)
Very yummy, but the waffles will not get as crunchy due to the Apple Sauce in the batter. Overall though sure to be a breakfast pleaser for my husband and the kids.
