I modified this from the Ellen Show (10-05-10). Made it for the Superbowl and put it out with the "other" queso. It ran out first. It's a great faux cheese for nachos. The uses are endless. You can add anything to it... Don't forget to add your chips to your tracker. ;-)
This is great for when you have a cold and need some comfort! I'm sure it will get you feeling better in no time!

Calorie counts for uncooked rice...etc...were way off
As far as sweeteners go, molasses is a pretty healthy one. This granola offers a good amount of calcium, fiber and flavor!
Less fat than potatoes loaded up with bacon and beef, this recipe is filled with good-for-you veggies.
This recipe makes 24 muffins. The cost at the time I made them was 1.07 (1/19/09) for the whole batch. They are delicious.
Makes 12 one half cup servings. A souffle like side dish perfect for the holidays or any time!
Hint: To bring the sodium content down, which isn't reflected in the nutritional info here, I drain and rinse all of the beans. Using 4 cans of beans, at 440 mg. of sodium per serving (3.5 servings per can), I would assume that the sodium content in this recipe is considerably less after draining and rinsing the beans.

These are so sinfully good you don't want to make these more than once or twice a year, but as Cinnabon had been a long standing tradition in our family we have to indulge in this luxury while overseas and nowhere near a Cinnabon.
I use 1 cup Bread flour to soften the bread - makes a better sandwich. You could use all Whole Wheat if you prefer
My mom was diagnosed with celiac disease about 8 years ago. We have looked everywhere for delicious recipes that substitute other products for gluten. i was fortunate to come upon this wonderful recipe, which uses only 2 unusual ingredients: GF flour and Xanthan Gum. Even though I CAN eat gluten, I still very much enjoy this delicious banana bread. It is best hot from the oven!
It is super moist, bursting with flavor, and you would never know it was GLUTEN FREE :)))
Plus, it is very low in saturated fat and high in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat. It is fairly low carb for a banana bread and it also has 1 gram of sugar PER slice....and they are generous servings!
This steel cut oats recipe is similar to Alton Brown's Food Network recipe, but it does not have the whole milk or buttermilk. I use 1% and it turns out great!
A deliciously moist cupcake. Great on their own, but better with rum cream cheese frosting!
