This is similar to chapati but the difference is that this is almost oil free and very low fat. It ia high in fibre and considered to be one of the best deit or low cholesterol food in India. You can have this for breakfast lunch and dinner.

I'm not so good at "following recipes" or using "precise measurements." I make my food according to taste and whim, so please, if you feel like following this recipe, bear that in mind and adjust the ingredients and seasonings to your own taste.
A basic lentil stew with a light curry flavour. Not spicy, but you can always add heat yourself. Make sure to get all your ingredients ready, then you can whip up this dish in a hurry. Notes: red lentils do not need soaking and cook quickly. Salt is added at the end because it may interfere with proper softening of the lentils.
Authentic Dhansak sauce - simply add 800-1000g diced vegetables and/or pulses you have leftover. I have used chickpeas, peas, carrots, potatoes, courgettes, mushrooms, peppers, sweetcorn. All fine.
