Sift dry ingredients (Don't sift wheat germ. Just add.)
Combine wet ingredients (vanilla to taste)
Add buttermilk if necessary to thin
Cook on waffle iron until very brown.
Freeze extras and crisp in toaster oven.
To serve: spread 1 tsp butter
drizzle: 2 capfuls sugar-free syrup 10 servings
