I wanted to use the Beyond Sausage I bought and came up with this recipe. You don't have to use the Hot Italian flavor, but it's very good.
This recipe can be put into a ziplock freezer bag to freeze for later or be placed directly into crockpot. Serve with rice and asian style vegetables
Make small cabbage rolls by cutting the larger cabbage leaves in half, removing the spine in the center. May be frozen for later use.
In a time crunch, you can prepare it the night before, store the crockpot in the refrigerator, and put it on in the morning.
This is my take on the traditional 'Scotch Broth'. I use Lamb shanks as mutton is pretty well impossible to get in the San Diego area (Lamb is difficult enough) and I suspect that Lamb has less fat anyway.
