The sodium is actually much lower because I use salt free chicke bouillon.
I crave this occasionally, but since I can't have dairy anymore and coconut seems to upset me too, I had to figure out a way to make it. It is very simple and worth it. Breakfast, dessert, snack, anytime! It is sweet enough for me as is, but feel free to add a little sugar or a bit more vanilla at the end.
A great, nutritious, satisfying breakfast or snack recipe for those who are on-the-go.
I don't drink caffeine, but I used to be a real Chai drinker when I did. Chai is an Indian/Pakistani milk tea in which the milk and water are cooked together with spices like cloves, cardamom and cinnamon until it all boils and then you add black tea, cook it up to the strength you want and drink it with a sweetener (or not) of your choice. Mmmmm - yummy!
Having gone caffeine-free, I've had to change the recipe around. At home, I use soy milk and decaf tea with similiar results.
Out shopping this week, I found Tetley's Warmth Cinnamon Spice tea which cuts my work in half and makes this winter warmer microwavable too! If you're making enough for 4 people, use the stovetop method and cook with just 2 teabags for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

Traditional baked chicken breast with roasted sweet and regular potatoes, carrots, onion and garlic.
Craving chips and dip? Try these instead! You can also add any spices you want - onion powder or garlic powder both work great. I imagine oregano might as well, or if you're in the mood for sweet instead of salty, maybe a little finely ground cinnamon sugar would be just the ticket! I brought two batches of these to Easter dinner last spring, with a bowl of homemade hummus to dip them in. There were none to bring back home!

This beef stew from Argentina is slightly unusual but quite delicious. Dried fruits (apricots or raisins) sweeten the stew, as do the sweet potatoes. Tomatoes and onions, winter squash, and hearty chunks of beef round off the complex flavor of this wonderful stew. Carbonada criolla is perfect for when the weather turns chilly, served with cornbread and a salad.
