Rhubarb Crumble Recipes

An altered , healthier, Emeril Lagasse recipe

Tastes like strawberry-rhubarb pies you've made before, but without the strawberries! Using the first (of many) rhubarb harvest of the season but lacking any other fruit to temper the sourness, I added a sweet strawberry flavour with a sweetened juice powder mix instead of sugar for the filling. A simple, buttery oatmeal crumble topping crowned the pie for a delicious finish.

This is not exactly diet food, but it's something I make and want to know how many calories I'm eating when I have some so I can make my day work.

Fruit crumble

Serve it with fat free yogurt or frozen yogurt for and even more delectable treat.

Tangy fruit dessert

1 rhubarb + 6 apple portions
the smaller amount of sugar is on the fruit (add to taste)

I use a fruit I have made into pie filling in the wall with fresh Rhubarb in the spring to make this!

Not really good for the diet calorie wise but so yummy

The Hazelnuts go incredibly well with the Rhubarb. Serve with Custard or ice cream for a decadent and naughty treat

A variation on the traditional crumble adding Oats for flavour and texture

Very tasty can eat plain or with fat free coolwhip or lowfat icecream. You could probably make it even more lowfat by using brown sugar splenda.

Serve warm with either ice cream, yogurt or custard, adding theadditional calories!
