Yum!! I found this recipe many years ago, and found some doughnut pans at a store. We've made these many times since I don't like anything but cake doughnuts. You can frost them, but that's more calories and sugar. These are good dipped in sugar free hot cocoa, or skim milk!
These are so tasty! I make them smaller than the original recipe, and I got about 32.
With only three ingredients this recipe is easy to make and is a great way to use up summer peaches. It can also be made with frozen peaches if fresh are out of season.
Since we don't get frozen yoghurt in Holland, I made up my own with the use of frozen fruits. Lovely dessert or snack and very satisfying!

I used peaches for this cobbler but pears and apples are also delicious.

When making the zabaglione, make sure to cook the egg mixture in a glass bowl over water that is barely simmering. Glass conducts heat more evenly and gently than metal. If the heat is too high, the yolks around the edges of the bowl will start to scramble. Constant whisking is required. If necessary, you can use a single type of berry instead of mixed berries, but do not use frozen berries. A broilerproof pie plate or gratin dish can be used in place of the individual gratin dishes.
