A good Southern side dish like Mom used to make. I've made a vegan version using almond milk instead of buttermilk. Blander, but you can spice it up.
Fresh veggies & mixed beans tossed with a light vinegar & oil dressing. Great for pot-lucks, or side dishes with any meal!

This is a great way to make keto waffles or bread in the Dash mini waffle iron. You can make it and store it in baggies in the fridge for a week.
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice (Fresh, about 1/2 lemon), 2 Tbsp Agave Nectar, 8 oz H2O, 1/10 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Makes about 180 ml.
Useful as a condiment as well as a pasta topping, try stirring a spoonful into a plate of soup. Delicious with tomato!
North Carolinians love their Pork BBQ and this slaw is perfect on sandwiches. Very low in fat, and you can substitute Splenda for the sugar to reduce calories even more.

From Family Circle's recipe with Maple glazed pork. This is a separation from the pork, and adjusted portion size. It is so good, I want to eat it as a side for anything. I can't have reduced sodium chicken broth, so I substituted with Chicken Bouillon that does not contain Gluten.

I've been trying to create the perfect cornbread. I think I'm almost there! The whole wheat flour gives it a nice density but with just enough cornmeal to create the perfect crumbly texture. My ultra-picky boyfriend downed four pieces of this at dinner! The recipe is very simple; I whipped it up in about 10 minutes.
Don't have any buttermilk around? Simply add a tablespoon of lemon juice to 1 cup of milk, wait 5 minutes and use. You can also easily substitute an egg for eggbeaters, butter for margarine, or sugar for Ideal if that's all you have around. Just be sure to adjust the calories accordingly. Enjoy! This is so rich and creamy and full of protein. I prefer the taste of whole eggs but you can cut calories and fat by using egg substitute.
