I use this in a lot of different recipes, including pizza, pasta dishes and soups/stews. It is good to make in advance so you have it on hand when a recipe calls for it or so you can enjoy it as a side dish to any great meal.
Can use mutigrain or whole wheat pasta and your own oil vinigrette. I like this for a nutritious lunch or a smaller portion on the side with soup.
The soup is loaded with vegetables. It's more like a stew. I cooked the pasta separately so you can have exactly what you want. (My Hubbie gets more calories than I do.)

My hubby works on Sunday's and it's been really cold here so I came up with this simple soup for my lunch.
I use smoked ham hocks but any ham may be used for flavoring. I also add about a TBSP of Mrs. Dash before cooking.
