This is so close to the wonderful Amish candy that is so expensive. It will be more calories or less depending on how big you want them. I cut them for 30 servings. But oooohhh so good. Everyone loves it.

This was originally a Weight Watchers recipe that I tweaked a very little bit by using diced tomatoes, 2 cups of beef broth, and left out the shallots.

I created this on labor day because I wanted to have some homemade banana puddin' just like the rest of the family. Banana Puddin' is a southern tradition. And the reduced fat nilla wafers get nice and soft, not mushy like with the regualr nilla wafers, because the reduced fat ones are very crisp.
