This is so easy, and the result is a wonderfully sweet, smooth apple spread that's low in calories and basically fat free. You can bake or cook with apple butter, top your favorite frozen dessert with it, add it to yogurt...the sky is the limit! :)
This recipe calls for considerably less sugar than most, but believe me: it's plenty sweet, especially if you're using a sweet apple variety. (You might increase the sugar if using tart apples depending on your preference.)
Modified recipe that makes great, moist, healthy zucchini bread!
My hubby Chris loves Breakfast 24/;7 if he could get away with it. He also says my S.O.S
Breakfast Gravy or Shit On A Shingle) Whatever you want to call it, it's GREAT but, full of Calories. You will have to add an extra 1 hour to eat this Recipe
These muffins are a wonderful treat that my kids LOVE!! I have redone the recipe to make it lower in calories and fat at only approximately 3 grams of fat each muffin!!
The McDonalds Fruit n' Yogurt Parfait is a great snack, but it's got a lot of calories for such a tiny little thing. This dish is a much larger, more filling portion with 10 fewer calories than the McD's parfait, 2 more grams of protein, less fat, and nearly the exact same taste and texture!
I had an abundance of zucchini in the garden this year. This recipe used one large one (about 1-1/4 lbs) and was a big hit! I would even make this for a light Sunday night supper. My son suggested adding ham next time and slicing tomatoes over the top. It takes some time, but can be prepared ahead. Try it!
This recipe is my customized version of the most popular salad sold at Avoca Cafe in Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland. It depends on using fresh ingredients but yields such a bounty of salty-sweet flavours and marvellous texture that it's worth it to get the loveliest vegetables you can find. It's quite a filling, chunky salad, so all it needs for accompaniment is a nice slice of multi-grain bread and perhaps a mug of tomato soup to make a plate of it a meal. Please enjoy.
I use this when I am in a hurry or just want something light on a hot day. My husband also likes it in his work lunch. It's fast and easy.
This isn't low-fat, but the use of Splenda does bring down the calories...It's a very moist bread. Great to take to potlucks or office parties.
Moist, yummy banana muffins with whole wheat flour. You can taste the whole wheat flavor, so if you don't like it, just use all white flour, or substitute only 1/2 cup whole wheat & 1 cup white flour. If you like a really sweet muffin, add more sugar. We are trying to use less white flour in our house & more whole wheat. My husband was skeptical, but loved the muffins!
Wheat and practicly carb free, these cheese chips are great for dipping or use instead of crackers.
