Shake of the month found in Feb. 2010 Oxygen issue. I did alter a few things and I'm definitely going to be seeking out a cleaner protein powder when I get my current one used up.
This is Kool-Aid made with water, 3/4 c. Sugar and done so I could be honest in my tracking.
This breakfast/snack yogurt is free of high fructose corn syrup but has nearly 3 times the protein in regular store varieties. Vary the berries and protein for different flavors
*I added heavy cream to this recipe but the calculator won't let me add it here so the count is off a tad but not much.
Go ahead have a slice, maybe even two because this cheesecake is so low in calories eating 2 pieces is STILL LOWER in calories and fat than original cheesecakes! This could be topped with fresh berries or even sugar free chocotale syrup for added decadence! If you do not like Splenda adding 3/4 of a cup of sugar will bring the calorie content only to 148.2 per slice!
An experiment that I thought turned out pretty tasty. Use any flavor that you like. If you need added protein stir in protein powder while making or add cottage cheese or yogurt swirled in when eating. I didn't figure into the basic recipe for calorie sake.
Great weekend breakfast. I make a large batch because it freezes and reheats well in the microwave for weekday mornings.
Spent coffee grounds contain high levels of phenols which could potentially be extracted and used to increase nutritional value of other foods. Instead of brewed coffee I actually used 2 Tablespoons of spent coffee grounds.

This a deceptively-simple yet tasty snack (to me). Just stick the cheese on the rice cake, zap for 30 seconds and enjoy!
