It's better than stopping at Starbucks, both for taste, cost, and nutritional value for the calories you're taking in. Swap out different frozen fruits for variety; add protein powder or probiotic powders for more punch. Buy fruit in season in bulk and freeze it yourself to save money.
What family doesn't love to add these to a nice home-cooked meal? My very picky kids love these and so does everyone else.
I use skinless, can be with or without the bone. Can use for other chicken pieces. Choose your options for seasoning from anything that doesn't had calories or salt. 100 grams = about 3.5 oz.
High in healthy fats, vitamins and nutrients, low in carbs and high in protein! Is not a good option for low fat diets!
Modified from http://rawepicurean.net/ via oneweekraw.com to make it more like my mom's recipe.
Yes, I know all gazpachos are raw. Whatever. :)
These entered my life from the inside of a Land O' Lakes butter carton when I was probably about seven. Most people now know them as Magic Cookie Bars, but I retained the name my family has always known them by. We never used coconut because I'm allergic to it. I'm sure it could be vastly lightened up by using fat-free graham crackers and sweetened condensed milk, but I'm posting it the way I've made it for years, and will leave the lightening up to others who haven't known it full fat the way I do! I've listed it at 16 servings for an 8x8 baking pan. Can't believe we used to cut it in just 9!
I used to get wonderful tempeh scallopini in Denver. This isn't quite it, but it's the best substitute so far. The restaurant served it on mashed potatoes with a side of cooked greens.
This is a tasty and very easy recipe and the best part about it: It's healthy too!
This is a light version of shepherd's pie, and it makes a satisfying meal in one dish. It packs a lot of flavor with very little sodium!
excellent cookies that come out just right, not too soft and not too hard.
What to do with those left over mashed potatoes!!!
I found this online at howstuffworks.com The recipe also included raita but I used my own recipe for that. A real keeper.
I got this recipe off of RecipeZaar.com. According to the recipe description there, this recipe was from a 1995 or 1996 National Enquirer. It was posted on 'Zaar by Spyder-man. I did make a few minor modifications (I didn't add green peppers or shallots and made some other adjustments).
I don't believe the Cabbage Soup Diet is a great diet to follow, however, this is a really good soup for snacking or lunch. It reminds me of the Cabbage Soup they serve at Big Boy. Also, I halved the recipe and it still made a TON of soup - - roughly 20 servings.
These are a wonderful side dish to compliment any meal. They are crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. I use onion powder because I don't like the texture of real onion. Also I use dried herbs.
You will love this detox drink. Get 3 fruits, 3 veg in one serving and the detox value of cilantro and parsley.
