This is a good quick cooking dinner item that I actually slimmed down from one of paula Deen's from TV. Paula's version is much richer but this tastes good and is simple to make .
Slow Cooker Recipe
This meat usually needs a moist slow cooking process to make it enjoyable and easy to eat. Pressure cooking speeds up the process. Flavour comes from additives such as carrots, red wine vinegar, beef broth, herbs and spices used.
We used to make this recipe for moose or caribou and cooked it in a cast iron stew pot in the oven on very low heat, before the days of crock pots. It lends itself very well to lean cuts of beef with little fat and is great for entertaining during football season!
I combined all my favorite Greek ingredients, layered them in a dish and created a dip that's a hit at parties or family game night.
