My grandma used to make these. I think the original recipe may have come from a cereal box because it uses All-Bran and Grapenuts. I've substituted applesauce for half of the margarine, and whole grain flours for half the white flour. You can substitute more, if you want, but this makes it taste very much like the original. You can also use Eggbeaters if you are watching cholesterol.
This is a moist bread with walnuts and dryed cranberries. Great for breakfast or snack or dessert
or to share with friends on any occasion.

When reading the 2 tablespoons baking powdered I am sure you will think that it has to be a mistake! It isn't! These are thick and fluffy, surprisingly Delicious for a vegan recipe!
