Chicken Fried Steak Recipes

Traditional country style. My father in law is the king of country fried steaks and these are his favorite! These are lower in calories than the original, but still an indulgence. Enjoy!!

chose to use ground beef (for price) in this recipe. You can use four 3 oz portions of filet mignon, pounded about 1/3 inch thick.

Meat loving husband approved....it was all eaten before I could take decent photos! P.S. That's a dessert plate.

Healthier Country Fried Steak Recipe

quick and easy, good with gravy or as a sandwich

We changed the milk to 1% and used low sodium chicken broth

A great make over on a traditional favorite. I used crushed bran flakes cereal in place of the called for cornflakes
Note: this uses cooking spray, Coriander POWDER, Cumin POWDER which are NOT in the Spark Database

Prepare through step 1 up to 8 hours ahead. Refrigerate until ready to proceed with step 2.

The Nutrition information will change if you decide not to use the gravy. This recipe is amazing and originated from a diabetic cookbook

I got this recipe from allrecipes.com. I also use it with chicken. Just pound the chicken flat before coating it. I'd love suggestions on making it a little lower fat!
