This recipe was adapted from the Real Simple (April 2010 issue) recipe for linguine with asparagus and pine nuts (page 238).
This dish is low in fat and a good source of protein
I made this because I had nothing else.
This is a recipe found on the Hurst's dry Navy Beans package with carrots and extra ham added.
Lots of fiber and low fat and low sodium. Serve over rice and with hot cornbread.

I usually use my great big crock pot but a very large stock pot on the stove would work. Just keep it a medium simmer.
