Black Bean Sausage Recipes

This hearty soup is super easy to prepare but packed with flavor. Change up the flavor by swapping in your favorite sausage.

The Post Punk Kitchen blog has shared some incredible basic recipes for vegan "sausage." Once you learn the technique, you can, as I have, create any kind of sausage you like. This is a stand-in for chorizo or seasoned taco meat.

This is one of my favorite recipes for a lazy Sunday meal.

Hearty and warm, this is sure to please on a cold fall or winter night.

A wonderful hearty soup

delish and packed with fiber

This is a great, low fat, high protein soup. You can make it as spicy as you like. If you are concerned about sodium you can use ground turkey and add spices that you like and use low sodium tomato paste. To add a new dimension you can also grill the sausages, chop them up and add them to the soup.

Delicious, spicy and hearty- a quick meal to make that is even better the next day (if theres any left!)

High fiber and high protein soup

What to eat when you're feeling deprived or bored that fits almost any kind of protein you care to add. Makes a big batch so you can freeze it. This is a bit too hot eat on its own, but is a show-stopping counter-point when served over rice and meat. My husband refuses to go out for Mexican food, but he loved this. Reduce the cumin and chipotle peppers if you like it milder.
